This establishment tradition dates back to the 19th century. They specialize in Spanish nougats (turrones), from both Jijona and Alicante, although they also offer imperial almond, chocolate with almond, and caramel and sesame seed varieties. When it starts to get hot, these confectioneries share counter space with artisan ice creams, among which hazelnut, butter and cream varieties stand out, in addition to turrón ice cream. In the high season, be prepared to encounter a long queue that sometimes spills out onto the street.
