Quentin Judge wins the first big class in Gijón
Showjumping | International Showjumping - CSI 1* YH - CSIO 5* Gijón | Wednesday, 30th July-Monday, 4th August | Las Mestas | The american rider Quentin Judge won the first big class in the CSIO Gijón with "HH Copin van de Broy", without penaltied, the chronometer stopped at 49,55 seconds. The Venezuelan Andrés Rodriguez got the second place (51,67 seconds) with "Darlon van Groenhove". Meanwhile, Georgina Bloomberg and "Juvina" got the third position
Funeraria Gijonesa`class qualifies for the Longines FEI ranking. 5.137 spectators were present to witness this first class in Las Mestas. The class was judged by a five groups scale with 13 obstacles of 1,50 metres.
The winners of each group plus the following five classified had access to the winners round. Pilar Lucrecia Cordón was the only Spanish rider taking part in this round in which she got the tenth position.
Present along the first three classified were the dutch Leon Thijseen with "Quintera" and the Italian Juan Carlos García with "Blue Boy V. Berkenbroeck".

Quentin Judge was enthusiastic about his victory. "This is a very good horse show and all the riders feel the support from the crowd" he said.
Quentin has the 162th position in the world ranking. He was very grateful to his horse during the class. "He is such a master, he knows how and when to show his talent", said the winner.
