David de Pedro was one of the men who gave renown to the now disappeared Bombonera, from which he started out on a personal path to open San Antonio -in the street of the same name- to then move twenty years later to his current premises. His cream teclas and his vascos, a peculiar custard cake, triumphed in the early years. Now his son David runs the business and maintains the highest standards as regards raw materials and has increased its renown with specialities such as the Charlota, Opera or strawberry tortes. His daughter Ainoa is in charge of the most creative, artisan part of the business, namely the fine chocolates, Easter eggs, marzipan "saint's bones" and turrones.
