Vixigona - style sardines

The name of this dish seems to be taken from a cook from the traditional fishing district, Cimavilla; she used to prepare them in that way and was vixigona, which means spotted with smallpox.(vixigues = pustules).

Method

Mix seaweed with salt and add a few drops of water. Stir and cover sardines until they are completely covered. Put in the oven to 200 ºC for 15 minutes. After that time, take them out and turn dish over to serve them.
