FICX56 final party will be an eclectic music session played by Miqui Puig, Herminio Afonso y Félix A. Limaña.
BÁRBARO CHICO CLUB will host FICX56 closing party with tunes to resurrect our tired bodies after a week of films and concerts. Without labels or conditions, except that what sounds has to be non-digital and nice. This musical journey will include R&B black rhythms, soul, funk and rare groove, Italian disco music, American, Balearic sound, Brazilian beat, power pop and a mix as difficult to embrace as easy to dance.

Miqui Puig
Los Sencillos’ frontman, composer, producer, radio speaker, TV host, manager and, above all, music fan. Two years after the band’s breakup, he starts a new phase with the recording of a solo album with the collaboration of his friend and counsellor Alaska. He has also performed as DJ at festivals such as Sonar and Primavera Sound; he has collaborated in radio and TV programmes since the 80s; and he has occasionally worked as an actor in short films and series, as a contributor in magazines and music press and as a composer for fashion shows. In 2007 and 2008, he was member of the jury of X Factor and Tienes Talento contests. Recently, he has become teacher of music culture in Operación Triunfo.

Herminio Afonso
Herminio Afonso has been discovering musical treasures for more than 30 years. His passion for good music has led him to edit fanzines when paper was essential, to make radio programmes in the almost extinct free radio stations and Cadena SER, to sell records as an addict who sells drugs, and to host parties to play and have a good time. With a solid background in African-American black root sounds, no one knows what records he puts into his suitcase when he wants to make people dance. Musically restless, Herminio is a nonconformist in the comfortable entertainment market. He is a member of the London-based group Reference Point and was awarded an AMAS as best DJ in Asturias. Herminio Afonso is a regular participant of FICX parties; here, he will surely play some classics and many new discoveries that will sound in the booths soon.

Félix A. Limaña
His work has always flirted with social exclusion, including his group Las Munjitas del Fuzz, the previous 60's punk combo Dr. Explosión and some other obscure bands of the industry. His different facets include being a mod/sixties DJ, an underground festival organiser, a Bárbaro Chico Club host and formerly record label owner (Trouble&Tea). With negligible cultural concerns, his collaborations with magazines, fanzines, books and other media have gone unnoticed for the cultured readers, nearly as much as his diary book (Subterfuge, 1996), the publication of “50 años de Motown: el sonido de la Joven América en España” or the coordination of the graphic and investigation project “La fábrica de Lambretta en España: visita a sus instalaciones en Eibar” (2015).
Incomprehensibly, he has been invited to give talks about black music, 60's culture and organization of events in the university field. Proud President of Lambretta Club in Spain and editor of its official magazine since 2002, he collects, repairs and restores those beautiful machines and all their memorabilia made in Spain. He also accumulates inexpensive cool retro watches which he tries to restore and repair as well, Playboy mag issues from 1965 to 1970, vintage porn and Pink Panther’s super 8 reels and vinyl records, big and small, of a time spectrum a bit broader than the aforementioned men publications. Whatever funds he does not spend in that, he spends in travelling, diving and hedonistic stuff.
Former smoker, but immutable and smug carrier of all of its symptoms. He is hyperactive, a paradigm of obsessive-compulsive disorder and stubbornly constant on his personal crusades. He believes the world as we know it will disappear in less than 20 years… And he still wonders why he has written this text in the third person.
